“Underworld: Evolution” still needs a little development before actually being called an evolution to its predecessor “Underworld”. I went last night to see the movie that I had been looking forward to see since the previews caught my curiosity and the original movie made me a fan of the storyline.
This new addition to the Underworld storyline just didnâ??t have it for me. Picking up where the first story left off, “Underworld: Evolution” gave fans some background history about the Lycans and Vampires in addition to Michael (the new hybrid) finding out more about his new abilities (no not good gas mileage!). While the entire movie was entertaining and the usual action and amazing effects that its predecessor set the standards for, “Underworld: Evolution” became a little confusing on who the different characters were that were being introduced to the story.
On a good note, Kate Bekinsale looked absolutely amazing as always in her tight leather kick ass outfit. Never been a really big fan of leather until seeing this movie. The first Underworld had Kate in the same leather outfit however the movie creators didnâ??t really highlight or accent on her outfit as much as they did in this release.
On a final note, the ending to me had much to be desired as I felt I was watching a choreographed show at Universal Studios (wouldnâ??t be surprised if the end up doing this), in the attempt to out do the first movieâ??s ending fight scene. Overall I thought the movie was decent, but the only real evolution came in the title “Underworld: Evolution”.
