K.O.T.O.R. is finally starting to heat up and get interesting. The pacing of the story is starting to even out, the group is coming together, and the art is still top notch. Read on for more...

The mystery for Zayne gets deeper as he wades into why his padawan friends have died. He is forced to retrace his footsteps as the rest of the Jedi close in on his trail. One question though, why do a majority of Star Wars space chases seem to end in an asteroid belt? Think about it. You have the flight from Tatooine which ended in the rubble of Alderaan. Then you have the flight from Hoth, Obi-wan’s flight from the bounty hunter, etc, etc, etc. Well, KOTOR delivers on the cliche and they of course end up in an asteroid field hiding from the “bad” Jedi.

The writing in this issue is more even IMHO. Miller is now focused on moving the groups story as a whole and it isn’t quite as jerky. The art is stellar as usual. Great pencilling although the whole hue seems a shade darker and the colors don’t pop as much. Maybe it’s because they are in space and all that black tends to dull things down. The cover art is sub-standard compared to the inside art but at least they have been consistent :D

The story is finally kick started and the art is still great work. I give this issue a 3.5 out of 5 based on the story strength.
