Empire #39 delivers better than #38. There is plenty of action and even some compelling dialogue that delivers a good punch for this story. Read on for all the little details.

Empire #39 is finished with the setup and into the nitty gritty. There are plenty of explosions, blaster-fire, interpersonal clashes, and heroics to keep my minute attention span rooted in the quickening storyline. Luke has ditched his hat and his mannerism’s are back to normal. In between all the running and shooting and blowing up they even insert a nice conversation between Luke and his old friend from Tatooine. The dialogue doesn’t feel forced and I like the subtle way Luke deals with his friends “issues” that he sees in the military he has adopted.

Although I wouldn’t call this a “must buy”, it definitely gets the blood running and is worth picking up if you want your “Star Wars” fix.
