King Kong: A True Masterpiece
by: Average Joe 2 years, 7 months, 1 week, 13 hours, 24 minutes ago
Email Review print reviewUnlike many other films in which the stars have to interact with a completely non-existent character, “KING KONG” does not leave you with a stale, and empty feeling, but rather a genuine sense of loss and sorrow for the film’s main character. You can really tell the makers of this film have a deeply rooted love and respect for this story, and it really shows. My hat’s off to Peter Jackson for not only successfully bring back one of the most influential films of all time, but for getting the chance to work on the very film that inspired him to become a film maker.

Amazing Spiderman Man-Wolf
by: curvezilla 2 years, 7 months, 1 week, 3 days, 12 hours, 11 minutes ago
Email Review print reviewI am not nearly as excited about this guy as I am Venom. I just don’t get the costume for one thing. I did some research and the costume is dead on for the classic spidey appearances. It looks like some kind of disco outfit or that wet suit the guy from Living Color in their “Cult of Personality” video. The fig actually has some good sides. I like the action feature where he howls and his mouth opens. The sculpt is okay and tpaints aren’t bad.
Amazing Spiderman Venom
by: curvezilla 2 years, 7 months, 1 week, 3 days, 13 hours, 47 minutes ago
Email Review print reviewThis is the absolute best Venom figure that has been made yet. The sculpt is great with a lot of detail and the paint apps are nice too. The action feature makes it so you can snap his jaw back and forth. I really like the size of this figure. The only problem I have is that the arms seem to be really short. It just makes the figure look distorted. This is a must have if you are a Spidey or Venom fan!

Superman Returns Teaser Trailer
by: Average Joe 2 years, 7 months, 1 week, 4 days, 17 hours, 53 minutes ago
Email Review print reviewBy now most (if not all) of you have seen it, and the reaction thus far has been pretty positive. I think A LOT of people have realized that despite the online petitions of “Get Tom Welling to play Superman” (which I signed incase you were wondering) Brandon Routh, aside from NEVER being able to REPLACE Chris Reeve, has definitely carried on his legacy as the Superman for our generation.

X3 Trailer Finally Here!
by: curvezilla 2 years, 7 months, 1 week, 6 days, 10 hours, 56 minutes ago
Email Review print reviewSo much like my other fellow geeks, I just got done watching the new trailer for “X3” and all I can say is “WOW”. In just under 90sec I managed to be both pleased and disappointed in the scenes we were shown. Again, much like everyone else I’ve picked out my list of best/worst aspects I’ve seen so far:

Marvel Legends 11 1st Appearance Thing
by: curvezilla 2 years, 7 months, 2 weeks, 13 hours, 41 minutes ago
Email Review print reviewThere is not a lot to say about this action figure. The good news is that Toy Biz’s sculpt was true to the artwork of the 1st appearance comic. I really hate it though. Do any of you guys remember the movie from the 1980’s, “Weird Science”? Remember when Kelley LeBrock turned Chet (Bill Paxton) into a big pile of crap? That is what this figure reminds me of. No really, I am going to post a pic side by side and you guys tell me if you see it. Anyway the figure has nice articulation in the fingers, looks like the the same hands from the previous ML Thing. Comes with a jet scooter that will be put to much better use with another member of the FF. Sorry guys, not much left to say about this figure.
ML 11 Taskmaster
by: curvezilla 2 years, 7 months, 2 weeks, 15 hours, 51 minutes ago
Email Review print reviewThis figure is pure quality! Taskmaster comes with a plethora, yes a plethora of accessories. Included are a sword sheath, Billy club, sword, pistol, shield and air scooter. Jesse Falcone has answered our prayers my brotha’s! The paint apps on the weapons/accessories are pretty basic. The exception is the sword sheath. It has a great color wash that gives it the look of worn leather. Taskmaster also has a great stand for lots of poses. Now to Taskmaster himself! Paint apps are very good. All white pieces have a blue wash that gives Tasky an ethereal effect. I love how they painted the inside of the hood a nice camel color that matches the other accents. It would have been easy enough for Toy Biz to leave the inside of the hood white, so kudos to them. The bands around his leg and holster have a modeled blue and brown paint app. It’s interesting and I kind of like it. The only sloppiness I see is on the gold clasp of the cape. My figure is really sloppy there. Skull mask has nice paint apps except for the eyes. I agree with all the other reviews that he really needed pupils instead of the all white eye. The sculpt of this character is really well done. The belt is very detailed with a whip molded on and a great buckle. The body is the same one used for Bullseye in ML9 and is one of my favorites to date. Taskmasters hands have no articulation, but are molded to hold his PLETHORA
of weapons. Toy Biz did a really good job on his boots. The fold on these boots is much smaller and looks great. They could actually be switched with ML 10 Cyclops and both figures would be more comic book accurate. The head sculpt is very well done. It has wrinkles on the face and head whether by design or accident, it give the sculpt a lot of character. Taskmaster is my favorite of the ML11 release, very well done with little to complain about.

ML 11 Hulk Buster Iron Man
by: curvezilla 2 years, 7 months, 2 weeks, 15 hours, 53 minutes ago
Email Review print reviewHere we have Hulk Buster Iron Man and is he ever a disappointment. All of the pics that Toy Biz had released of this figure had a metallic paint job on all of the red parts of this figure. From what I can tell the only paint on this figure is the gold, which has a little shimmer to it, and the black lines. Other than that it is all red plastic. Even on the back of the card it has this figure painted with metallic red paint. I guessed they saved a bundle on paint by using the plastic for coloring. HB Iron Man is really the most blase figure of the series. The good thing is this figure is huge and heavy! It has some real potential to become a custom Onslaught. HB Iron Man comes with a glider, comic and Marvel Vs. card. Biggest letdown of the series!
ML 11 Logan
by: curvezilla 2 years, 7 months, 2 weeks, 16 hours, 3 minutes ago
Email Review print reviewToy Biz puts a Wolverine in almost every series of ML they put out. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! This time they got everything right. ML11 Logan epitomizes a Marvel Legend. This action figure is from one of the most iconic story lines of all time (IMHO) and is extremely comic accurate. Logan has 32 points of articulation and the scale of this figure is right on. The jacket is removable (with some work) and has nice paint apps. Heck the whole figure has great paint and no sloppiness that I could see. Logan’s claws have the same problem as every other Wolverine figure that TB has produced (bent claws). Now let’s get to the real show stopper and that is his motorcycle. This thing is the best motorcycle TB has produced since they started the Legends line. The bike has nice detail, but it is the paint apps that put it above and beyond. It’s got a flaming paint job on the tank with a wash over almost the whole bike that gives it an aged gritty look. They even use the wash on the spokes. Toy Biz did this one right! Excellent figure with one of the best accessories I have seen from TB.
