Dynamite Entertainment and Top Cow do their first crossover event in 2007.

WITCHBLADE: SHADES OF GRAY, The mini-series is being written by Leah Moore and John Reppion and will introduce Dynamite’s version of Oscar Wilde’s murderous and mysterious title character from his 1890 novel The Picture of Dorian Gray. The series will also feature the artistic debut of “Dynamite” Stephen Segovia and an all-star roster of cover artists, including Billy Tan, E-Bas and Stephen Segovia!

WITCHBLADE: SHADES OF GRAY #1 (OF 4) (DEC063465): WRITTEN BY LEAH MOORE AND JOHN REPION, ART BY STEPHEN SEGOVIA; COVERS BY BILLY (X-Men) TAN with DEAN (THE LONE RANGER/New Avengers) WHITE (50%?), E-BASS (25%) AND STEPEHEN SEGOVIA (25%).

Shrouded in mystery, the Witchblade has known many friends and many foes in its long history, but it has never faced such a mystery as the troubled Dorian Gray!

In the first issue, we follow Detective Sara Pezzini and her new rookie partner as they race to stop a murdering madman. Waiting and watching in the shadows is the enigmatic Gray who may or may not be the murderer they seek! With the action spanning the globe as well as exploring Gray’s colored past, this is an event not to be missed!

Featuring a story that spans the ages from the deft hands of writers Leah Moore and John Reppion, WITCHBLADE: SHADES OF GRAY also features the debut of Stephen Segovia and an all-star roster of cover artists, including Billy Tan, E-Bas and Segovia!

I didn’t know until recently that Moore and Reppion are married. She is also the daughter of Alan Moore who many love/hate even though he has made some great contributions to comics. ;-)

I like the Witchblade concept so I am looking forward to see this one.
