Undead Slaying in World of Warcraft

Email Article Print ArticleI have been playing patch 1.11, The Scourge Invasion, in World of Warcraft for about a week now. It’s been a blast IMHO and quite a success. VGGEN gives a very good review of the patch content on their site.
The basic premise of the patch is that one of the most evil “Boogeyman” of the World of Warcraft universe is invading the world yet again. Kel’Thazud is sending his minions to wreak havoc on the inhabitants of Azeroth. It has been quite an exciting event and I personally think that it’s one of their best Live events that they have released yet.
One thing that I think the author at VGGEN missed and that I just barely learned is about the necrotic rune that you pick up by battling undead. You CAN turn those into the wearable items by getting the crafting writs with a valor token (these are obtainable by turning in Scourge, Invader, and Minion stones) and then turning in your runes for the items the writs asked for. Just last night I got a writ for 20 health pots that were available for the simple price of 15 runes per each… Also, the rumor is that the Live event ends after your server topples 150 necropolises. I will know once I log in this evening.
