UFC 70 Sell Out in Record Time

UFC 70 will be the first UFC card in the U.K. since 2002 and the fans have responded in crazy fashion. The UFC has already sold out their original allotment of 5,000 tickets in pre-sales and are releasing a few more to the public by tweaking their set.

UFC President Dana White said: “We’ve been absolutely blown away by the demand for tickets for UFC 70. Our British fans sold this thing out even faster than a lot of our US based events have sold out. We couldn‘t have wished for a more enthusiastic response for what is just the start of some huge plans we have for the UK.”

One possible reason for the crazy sell-out is the depth of the card that the UFC will be bringing to UFC 70. Here are four of the matches that have been announced.

Mirko Cro Cop Vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
Michael Bisping Vs. Elvis Sinosic
Andrei Arlovski Vs. Fabricio Werdum
Forrest Griffin Vs. Lyoto Machida

It is also rumored that this card might be on SpikeTV instead of HBO where it was originally slated because of the rocky negotiations that have been going on between UFC and Home Box Office.
