Jill Wagner breaks the news that there will be no second season.

THEOcracy.com reports that Blade: The Series star Jill Wagner has made an official announcement that there will be no second season for the series.

Just wanted to say thanks again to all of you who supported me and Blade the Series. I was just informed today that there will be NO 2nd season of Blade the Series. I really enjoyed playing Krista and i hope that i did her justic at least for one season! However, that is not the end of Jill Wagner’s acting career. I will keep you guys posted on what’s next for me. Again i say thanks for the support. Hey, there is always the DVD right????

The series started out with strong ratings but gradually lost viewers as it went on.

Still no word on if the first season will get a DVD release.

I think I can speak for myself and Lufguy when I say that this is disappointing news for sure. I actually thought this series was solid, and would’ve only gotten better in later seasons.

Hopefully another network like Sci Fi might show some interest in bringing the show back. It’s not completely unheard of.

Come on Joe, say it isn’t so! Now I am just going to look silly with my new house of Cthon tattoo I got to honor Jill Wagner.

I am going back to sleep and when I wake up, this notice will just have been a bad dream. :-(

Krista, we hardly knew you!

I could have told Spike TV this before they thought it up…

Sorry, I didn’t like the show.

I dreamed of Krista Starr last night but things got real crazy between she and I when I learned she only wanted to sell me a Mercury. Only in my dreams! ;-) (your mileage may vary)

I will wait for the DVD!

Okay, like the show or not (I did), what the hell else does SpikeTV have?!?
Weird…
Do CSI reruns, or (do they have any other shows?), do those get better ratings?
I guess reruns don’t cost the same kinda dough though…

You make a good point Jason. Blade was actually about the only thing I made an effort to watch on Spike. The rest of the schedule is fairly much hit or miss type viewing. I am sure there are shows that more of the guys here watched but Blade was the show for me, on that network.

Spike TV has kung-fu sundays or something like that where they show lots of kung-fu movies. I love Shaolin Soccer so much!

Sorry Pietro but the cast has already moved on and they tore all the sets down. The ratings started out good but started falling and never really recovered. I was a big fan of the show but it looks like you and me were in the minority.
