Email Article Print ArticleAfter many times of stop and go, the Las Vegas Athletic Commission has finally approved the grudge match between Dana White and Tito Ortiz.
Dana White and Tito Ortiz had a falling out in 2003. A very acrimonious falling out that put Tito out of the fight game for a couple years. One of the clauses in the contract that Tito signed to come back to the UFC is that there would be a boxing grudge match between Dana White (President of UFC) and Tito Ortiz at a later date. Well that date is here. Dana and Tito are scheduled to fight on March 24th and will most likely take place at the UFC training center in Las Vegas, the same place where The Ultimate Fighter is taped. The UFC then plans to offer the video on their website.

I can’t believe they’re actually going thru with this. Most people believe Tito will kill White, however I remember reading something that said White was no pushover and is actually a former boxer....something like that.
This should be interesting.
I read this article on the plane ride home from San Diego. It’s says that White was a boxing instructor and had his own gym. http://www.americanwaymag.com/PastIssues/March12007/Features/BlackAndBlueAndWhite/tabid/2740/Default.aspx
I don’t know when Dana White has time to train. It seems like every time I turn on my TV, he is there promoting the sport. I saw him on CNBC late one night and then a morning show the next day. Maybe there is more then one of him out there working the crowds. Was it time to send in the clones?
