This original weekly content will feature all things MMA and is your ticket to gaining the edge that you need when discussing MMA with your friends. We have brought a professionaly syndicated radio personality, SystemX (a.k.a. Derek Alfonso from Power of Information), and DarthMolen together to form the perfect team.
This week is MMA 101. We discuss the vernacular of the sport, the equipment one would need to get into MMA, and the different types of fighters one would typically see when viewing the sport, among other thing. This is a great jumping off point for anybody new to MMA or someone who just needs a refresher.

Doesn’t the word “Smackdown” pertain more towards wrestling than it does MMA? I believe it was The Rock during his run in the 90’s that made the word as popular as it is today. Then again there’s always that weekly show the WWE has on called “Smackdown.”
That’s why its called MMA Smackdown goob.
and the WWE’s version is branded:
SMACKDOWN!
If I remember right. Anyways. I don’t watch wrestling. Oh. Blame Curves cause he thought up that part of the name
