Yahoo! movies has launched the first trailer for the new “Jesse James” directed by Andrew Dominik. the film stars Brad Pitt as Jesse James, and also stars Casey Affleck, Sam Shepard, Mary-Louise Parker, Jeremy Renner, Paul Schneider, Sam Rockwell and Zooey Deschanel.
The film delves into the private life and public exploits of America’s most notorious outlaw. As the charismatic and unpredictable Jesse James (Brad Pitt) plans his next great robbery, he wages war on his enemies, who are trying to collect the reward money â?? and the glory â?? riding on his capture. But the greatest threat to his life may ultimately come from those he trusts the most.
"The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" is scheduled for a September release date.

So Colin Farrell already played Jesse James. I love this legend, but I hope this movie is more than just a retelling of the story to fit the current political climate. Hollywood loves (re)writing their own history.
Ya know sixstring, i was just pontificating that same sentiment. The key phrase is “current political climate”. Will someone please hand them a script for Captain America. With this on going war over in Iraq i do believe the climate is perfect for a movie to star Cap going to war against Osama Bin Ladin. Let me write it. Oh crap i’ll do it for free.
