"Heroes" premieres at #1!

Kristy Chan over at NBC sent me the press release concerning how well last night’s premiere of the highly anticipated show Heroes did in the ratings.
BURBANK, Calif. – September 26, 2006 – Paced by the series debut of “Heroes,” which posted the highest rating for any NBC drama premiere in five years, NBC won its second Monday night of the 2006-07 season in adults 18-49, according to preliminary “fast affiliate-based” “live plus same day” viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.
Versus the second Monday night of last season, NBC’s performance last night was up by 18 percent in adults 18-49 and up by 12 percent in overall total viewers.

I can’t say I’m really surprised, but this is great news nonetheless! I hope you all tuned in, and continue to tune in. This show only gets better over time.
I really enjoyed the show and found it most entertaining. It was a one hour show that passed like it was a one half hour show. That is the sign of a show I am enjoying.
The only small quibble I have is the sub titles that went too quickly for me at times when Hiro was on screen. That, however, may just mean I need a speed reading course.
(i was laying down while watching so reading them sideways may have been the problem)
Otherwise, the end sure left me wanting to see more. Good stuff so far!
I really enjoyed it. Finally, a relestic superhero show. I almost feel as I can come out with my superpower.

Hey AJ, I too have a super power I now will reveal. I don’t want to mention any real names so I will just make up a name, like, Hashoba Nomma. My power is I hear a bell when B.S. (big stuff) is in the air. DING DONG!!

My superpower is finding tyepos and propagating tem. a lot.
All goofing aside, that’s the best show I have seen in a long, long, long time.
I daresay that I liked that better than the NCIS premiere which is the only other over-the-air show I watch in primetime.
I missed it and my Tivo player let me down. I guess I have to grab it from iTunes now. I can’t wait though.
USA is suppose to be replaying it but not sure when. I really like the prophet they are all going to surround. Nothing like a high prophet that keeps you going to his drug dealer so he can have his visions.
