Halo Wars

With Halo 3 coming at us in 2007, I just can’t wait to get my hands on it. The spectacular FPS controls that revolutionized the XBox, will now turn into spectacular RTS controls to hopefully revolutionize the XBox 360.

Halo Wars is a Real Time Strategy game based in the Halo universe that is going to be released on the 360 and the PC and a to be determined date. The game will be designed from the ground up with the 360 game pad in mind and then ported to the PC. Bungie claims that the controls that they are implementing won’t plague RTS games on the console as so many in the past has. If you ever played Lord of the Rings on the 360, you already know that the controls for an RTS on a console can be great.

The game will be a prequel to the first Halo, way back when the Marines first encountered the Covenant. You will control the human’s and Spartan’s as they go to war with the Covenant. Word on if the alien races will be playable is not out yet.
