George Takei set to play Hiro's Dad on "Heroes"

TV Guide reports that in a genius casting move, veteran actor George Takei has been cast as Hiro’s dad in an episode of the new hit NBC show Heroes.
"It was one of those lightning-bolt ideas," series creator Tim Kring tells TV Guide. Adds Masi Oka, who plays Hiro, "This is absolutely brilliant! I just hope I get to say, ‘Dad! Sulu is my hero, not you!’"

Nice casting job and it should make the show a little more interesting for all us Trek fans. Better see some of that old gang before they are all gone.
