David Goyer to direct "Magneto"

Variety reports that writer/director David Goyer (Blade Trilogy, Batman Begins) will direct the X-Men spinoff Magneto for FOX.
Magneto will be the second X-Men spinoff to go into production, the first will be Wolverine which will return actor Hugh Jackman to his steel-clawed roots.
Goyer will direct the movie based on a Sheldon Turner script. No casting has been announced.
