The popular Street Fighter game is to be a movie...again!

Variety has reported that Ashok Amritraj, Hyde Park Entertainment, and Capcom Ltd. will be joining forces to produce a new Street Fighter movie.  They hope to have the movie released in 2008 since it will be the 20th anniversary of the Street Fighter franchise.  They are expressing interest in hiring Justin Marks as the ideal person to adapt the game to film. Justin Marks is currently working on the Voltron script that is also slated for a 2008 release.

They make no mention of the previous movie or who would be ideal for the upcoming roles.  They are, however, interested in focusing the movie primarily on the popular female Street Fighter Chun Li.  So Komikazeers who do you think should star in the movie?

What??? No Guile? :P

Chun Li is an interesting twist. I personally like Ken and Ryu but I think they did too good a job with them in the first movie.

I think I am the only one on the planet who actually “liked” the first movie, in a campy, goofy, kind of way.

I hate female hero’s.  I can’t think of one really good movie with female heros.  I tried for 3 seconds.  Women should stick to being eye candy in the movies.

Hope all that time you spend in thought didn’t hurt too much. ;-)

Got to admit that “Wonder Woman” came to my mind immediately but that could fall under the “Eye Candy” column as well. Although, she did make things hard on all those evil doers.

Not to mention “Dark Angel”. Jessica Alba is ... you can fill in the blank.
