I know that Blake is compiling a set of Russian 9th, and after my excellent pack opening i’m going to start one as well… if anyone has any rares or uncommons from Russian 9th I (and I assume blake) would be happy to trade for them, so add them to your binders if possible.

PS: in my 9 russian packs this weekend, i opened Wrath, greater good, brushland, adarkar wastes, karp forest, and blood moon, and then 3 other rares i didnt have.

Damn - let me know if you’ll reconsider - I was hoping to finish this up and then sell it so I could get some of my fricking cards back - your pain lands were going to be a great assistance in completion.  It’s not going to do either one of us any good to be in competition with each other for getting the Russian cards.  :/

Or if you’re set on making your own Russian set - let me have first crack at your trade stuff, and I’ll trade you all the stuff I have so far, including the 9-card pages they’re in, in order.

According to probability, the more random events that occour the outcomes should continue towards the average… they there’s Fitchel defying probability, getting 4-5x times the value in rares of the packs he opens. Then there’s me and Kevin A loosing about 4-5x in money from packs we get. sigh… Best rare I got in 8-9 russian packs I opened was Sacred Ground.

I hope it’s true that every snowflake is unique, because I never want to see one like this again.

Well, that Russian Sacred Ground is worth more than about my last 100 RAV/GP rares…

I bought almost 2 boxes of russian (Special ordered with a couple days of the announce. ) so I’ve got extra commons and uncommons.  It seems rares in the Russian print are badly skewed towards the more high dollar ones, hence why I have 2 Llanowar Wastes, I think.

EDIT: The again off my first box or so of Rav, I pulled 3 Watery Graves, no other duals. If I get one rarish land from a set, seems its all I get. :/

Okay, i know im new to these boards, and its been a while since i played, but can someone explain the russian card thing to me? I was at Maddness the other day and it was EXTREMELY expensive compared to American. Is it just a kitch thing that people would want to buy it? I’d appreciate some insight into this, if you dont mind.

Argh..... the longer message(the one I actually put thought into) didn’t appear on this thread(problem maybe?), so here’s a brief answer:

The Russian 9E cards are black-bordered, therefore they are in higher demand and are harder to get. That makes them cost more. Most people like the Black borders better, because they don’t make the cards look like crap. Anyway, they shouldn’t cost THAT much more than regular 9E, but I guess it depends on the area in which you buy them…

By the way, Blake and/or whoever else needs these cards, here are my Russian 9E cards:
