i still have a couple mean decks for SW CCG, and sealed is really fun. I wouldnt mind playing again as long as it doesnt burn up my pocket.

I’ll go slow and start sealed and work up a decent number of cards that way over time before I start going whole hog…

Now to find a decent card group here in Houston :(

So I went and bought the 2 player starter kit (I wanted MtG online software and the core set in that system). So I opened it up and I found a foil Serra Angel in plastic wrap. Is that card the same for everybody or are they different?

Also in my advanced Core Booster Pack I got:

I, like yourself stopped playing Magic right before Y2K and gave all my cards away to a friend of mine that moved out of the state.  I too was a casual player and I also left for some of the same reasons.  I stopped purchasing cards sometime after Fallen Empires.  Honestly I hated that expansion. 

Anyways, went through some rough patches in my life for awhile and didn’t get back into Magic until recently.  To be honest, I love the artwork now compared to back in the day.  The rules haven’t changed too much but to me it’s more complex and definately more clarified that it was before.  I absolutely love 9th Ed, Kamigawa and Ravnica blocks (since those are the only cards I’ve started buying to get back into the game).  I have a crap load of cards now, time for me to start trading some.

I believe you should come back to Magic as I did and just play.  I’m nearing 30 and married, have no kids but work an ass load.  This is my relaxer and stress reliever.  Although I do terribly miss the old school days of Magic back when I was playing (1993 - 1999), I honestly like where Magic is headed today and how much it has advanced over the years.  I have nearly filled up my 5000 count box.  I intend to fill the rest of the space with Dissension and whatever else.

Come back man, you’ll love it like you loved it then.  I’m glad I came back, just for the sheer joy of collecting and playing.

Some guy?? Hahahaha… I’ll let him know you said that… He did T4 at the OKC PTQ… .  Anyway, he goes to a comic store regularly for FNMs and tells me that it’s a pushover every week, and it’s just whether or not he feels like winning the full 6 packs every week rather than going to a different store and drafting all night long… The stores in Houston(humble/woodlands area) don’t seem to be that great, but that’s just what he and I have seen so far… feel free to go explore other areas, i’m not too seasoned on the quality of those stores.
