BOUNTY HUNTERS RELEASE EVENT

Arex - 19 September 2006 10:33 AM
Well, I was trying to get an official answer from WotC about the map. I guess we should bring our own and decide there in case there is no official rule on this? It needs to be big wnough for the bif pieces, so all those maps with narrow areas cant be played, unless we go with the Ignore Rigid rule for sealed. But I guess it can be up to the store. :)

Yeah, i’m sure Chris will let us know. Either way, i’ll bring all of my maps with me, just in case we need extras.

Comicsaurus even has some in “framed” for lack of a better term.

Thanks,

Aaron

I believe framed would be an accurate discription, as they are in frames. :-)

The store provided maps for the UH release (The Thrown Room) and for the CotF release tourny (Cloud City), I’m guess they will provide again.

I’m still bringing my unframed, just in case. :afro:

I’m a little disappointed with Comicsaurus’s advocation of smoking…

shame.

shame.

Thanks,

Aaron

Darn it. It seems that we are going to have family over this weekend and I might not be able to attend this weekend, because I need to be at the airport about the same time registration is going to be taking place. Bummer. Maybe I can drop by and enter the event and then drop. :) Dont know. I’ll let you guys know if I can make it or not. :)

Big thanks to Rob and Chris for holding the event! The prizes were great and that first place finisher is sure sexy! Anyone have his number?

Oh and Rob, you were right on about the Strafe attack!

Thanks again!

Thanks,

Aaron

I’ll second Aaron’s comments.

Great event, nice participants(except for one ass), good organization and a good time for me, my son and his friend.

Thanks Rob and Chris!

Thanks for the kind words, they are appreciated.  That strafe attack this was devistating, but that is what the rulebook said strafe does, as crazy as the outcome was!

Damn… I missed the event. :( Man, see, that is why you should not have these events when family from Mexico arrives to visit. :( See, my plan was, pick up family at 10 at airport, then drive to Madness. Enroll on event. Get stuff, then drop. But no, it had to rain close to the airport with thunder and lighting… so my family’s flight was delayed, then diverted to Waco, then they fianlly arrived at 3. :( So no event for Arex.... stupid weather. ;)

Anyway, I hope to make it to the next one, and I’ll try to get some SW minis demos with at madness now that we can run them again. Maybe we can get more players to show up. :)

And I’m sure Rob, Chirs and staff from Madness did a great job at the event.

WotC isn’t doing a release event for Starship Battles.  We just got our shipment in, and man, do they look sweet.  I like them much more than any of the regular minis.  They’ll be on sale first thing Friday morning.
I’m running a bunch of holiday sales, SW Minis included.  Right now, all SW Minis are Buy 2, Get 1 FREE!!!  This includes any/all releases, so including Clone Strike and Starship Battles.

What time do you open?

Also, i’d like to see about having casual Starship play during the weekends. Let me know what you think!

Thanks,

Aaron

I’ll see what i can drum up on the ol’ boards. I have no idea what the response to this game is in the dallas area. Either way, i’ll be by this weekend to pick up packs.

Thanks,

Aaron

cool.  Also, I’m discussing with Manuel about times for demos, so I’ll post it once that’s locked in.
