My plan with this PTQ is just to get to 900 life and then f@!# ‘em. 

Seriously though - karma owes me a decent pool to play with.  If I lose on playskill, fine, but I need a decent pool at least once this year at a PTQ. 

Hey, the 14 sealed events i’ve played in have provided me with TWO good cardpools, so don’t be complaining.

And dam, why are all the friggin PTQs sealed events?

my pools are usually middle of the road. 1 or 2 great cards, some support, and some filler.
I’ve had an insane pool once, when I showed up towards the end of building time and had about 5 minutes to put it together, I think I finished with time to spare

Mine are either all or all :(. So I’m in or not and will know within 15 secs of opening my packs. But again, sacrificing virgins… I mean hiring the young youth will help me in my gaming.

Yeah, I actually had an amazing pool at the RAV pre-release, opening Glare, 2x House Guard, Guildmage, Gasp, and Vulturous Zombie. But it’s been downhill since then, lol…

So top 8 draft left me going in with grub with a pretty wild deck that looked really strong with bounce, removal, and creatures but the mana base was rough with no karoos or signets. Got mana screwed game 1, and choked game 2 being hit by flyers with a sunforger both times.

So now only Oklahoma City is left for me to go to Japan.

....god I miss all the GOOD PTQ formats.... you know, like Extended, Block Constructed, STANDARD MAYBE, or even Team Constructed(I know, we just did that, but it’s better than sealed ).

No shit! WotC is really pissing me off these days between Coldsnap, 422 card TS set not block, and PTQs that require $20-25 to practice for and ignore the constructed deckbuilding aspect of magic (albeit ppl just play the best netdecks for constructed PTQs except for the brave rogues). I like sealed and it’s great, just wizards is getting greedy and ignoring formats is irritating. Ravnica is an amazing block and I’d like to see some block constructed. Though the more janky blocks like CHK often can be more interesting because Mirrodin and Ravnica overshadowed the weak block so much (overall mechanically).

I hope it’s true that every snowflake is unique, because I never want to see one like this again.
