Bad judgeness is teh suxxors. Sorry about that. I’m still kicking myself for throwing away round 6. Grrr. Hopefully tonight I open the nuts and make myself feel a little better.
Though it was pretty amusing to lose to Cranial Extraction on Sosuke’s Summons in top 4 last week. I just think it’s cool that I built a deck that has people Extracting a random uncommon from Betrayers (it happened at Regionals once, too).

Round 2, after losing round 1 miserably to Beach House… I go into a game, and it comes down to game 3.
I have 2 Burning-Tree Shamans, 2 Jagged Poppets, 3 Birds of Paradise, and 1 Llanowar Elves in play, along with assorted mana, I’m at 16 life.
My opponent has a Birds of Paradise, an un-equipped Jitte, and a coiling oracle… 1 Swamp in play ( 
my deck worked like it should). He’s at 2 life.
He draws his card for the turn and looks at it, looks at the table, and repeats this process about 4 or 5 times… I told him he needs to either play it out, end his turn, or scoop… he’s burning the time (as there’s about 4 minutes left in the round...).
He asks to see my graveyard… no problem…
he picks it up and begins looking through it… he then calls a judge over. (not even saying anything to me this whole time)
He then pulls out a card (my infernal tutor) and tells the judge I’m playing with marked sleeves, shows him the back of the card, and I get a game-loss… all before I can even see the card! There was a SMALL ding in the back of the sleeve, that I can SWEAR wasn’t there at the start of the game, because I had dealt my hand face down (that card was in it) and there was nothing wrong.
I appealed the ruling, and because there wasn’t enough evidence to “overturn” the ruling (I was told that if the judge had ruled in MY favor, and the opp had appealed, the original ruling would have stood). Either way, he was going to go by what the original ruling was… it just was cruddy for me! Shouldnt have happened… whatever, on to game 3…
Game 3, (after this match, I found these guys hanging out together (my opps from game 2 and 3), they are friends!).
It comes to game 3 again, and I’m on the draw.
I shuffle (5 stacks of 12 on the table) and present my deck to him. He shuffles it for a few minutes, and then calls a judge over after stack-shuffling it on the table. “He presented an illegal deck, only 58 cards!” he tells the judge, the judge counts it, and gives me a game loss… my 2 cards were under the MIDDLE of the table! arrgh! I go appeal and get a ‘no’ told to me again… ARRGH!
Then I go and win my next 2, and then lose, and then drop… :(
I seriously wanted to vault over the table and tackle that first guy, but it’s a game… whatever.
Then I wanted to do the same to the next guy… but whatever… I’m better’n that…
After I found out they were friends, I confronted them, and told them everything I knew about them, and told them I had people watching them, as well as myself every round… if they tried it again, not only would I get them DQ’d, I’d personally see to it they’d be going home in crutches.
Chris didn’t have any problems playing my game 3 opp when he played him

Wow man, that round 2 is why I’m glad I didn’t go to regionals. I would cursed like a drunken sailor to that @$$hole you played. That’s such BS. Sorry to hear that happened to you.
I hope it’s true that every snowflake is unique, because I never want to see one like this again.
Meh… I’m not one to take it to somebody’s face unless they were to physically damage property of value to me…
A card sleeve is hardly ‘of value’... if it had damaged the tutor, well, that’s a different story.
I just wanted to work my way out of 0-2 start… then facing his friend making me 0-3 to the same thing… another loss and I was scrapped, so going into game 4 I cooled off and did well. Same with game 5.
Then game 6, was right after I had just confronted them… and was PEEVED… so I misplayed a few cards and ended up losing to my own Jagged Poppet… darn Ink-Eyes…
I “chump blocked” ink-eyes with the Poppet… thus losing my 3-card hand of 2 hit//run’s and a tutor.
NEVER play a game while you’re in a bad mood! Arrrgh! I would have had that game and won that round if I was thinking! doh!

The only two losses I had at States were to guys who were friends. One Cranially Extracted Yosei in game one “on a hunch.” Right. Then later he mentions something about learning from Mike Long. I wish I’d payed a little closer attention in that match now…
Yay - regionals is in to the DCI!! How did everyone do on the points? (Especially Nathan!!)
I gained 39 points on the day. Lost 2 in my draw with Ambler’s Heartbeat arch-nemesis from the PTQ, but lost 15 to the other two people I drew with...did I mention I hate draws? grrrr…
But the good thing is that I boosted up my constructed and therefore, composite rating. I’m on the front page of DFW now!!
My next goal is to try and qualify for something cool on rating. Nats is 1949, so I’ve got a ways to go...lol. Maybe I can just get a bye at a GP or something.

Blame it on your ADD man! You had a brand new shiny set to play with and you couldn’t resist! 
thats what im gonna blame it on. i had brand new shiney cards and a shiney knew idea. chock it up to lack of experience. this was only my second regionals ever. last years jelly donut did better than this. i got 30 points last year.

...I gained a whopping 31 points. 
I don’t get it… Last year I went 2-3-2 and lost 90+ points, and this year I go 7-2 and win ONLY 31? Wtf?
I’m never gonna hit 1900, which therefore means i’m not gonna hit 1949, which means no Nats this year… Especially since there aren’t any big constructed events anymore(I got 100+ points from my Extended PTQ and Regionals, what the hell else can I do?), and all the Grand Prix are in Antarctica or Australia or somesuch… sigh…
Oh wait, I could get lucky as hell and actually win a grinder. HAH! I wish…
EDIT: Blake, the ratings cutoff for Nats is on Composite rating, right? I’d like to know, just in case my Constructed rating gets in that range, I don’t want to get my hopes up for a lost cause.

Yeah man - 1949 for composite. I don’t see it happening for me...um...ever, but at least for a long while...lol. I just broke the 1800 barrier...lol.
My Composite is still under 1800… it’s like 1730-something… My limited is great, but my constructed-not so… it’s only at like 1646… grr… I still gained like 3 points… :p

Yeah, since my limited is gonna hover at around 1850(at the highest, if i’m lucky), that means I need to get a 2050 Constructed Rating… LOL, pretty impossible for me.
