Who all is planning on going to Regionals?
I know Chris Houston and Myself are, who else from the Madness crew is planning on making an appearance, and hopefully representing (in a good way) Madness?

The “new” decks chris and I are working on will be interesting…

Also, what do ya’ll think the metagame will be? 
Zoo + Heartbeat + Vore + Izzetron?

I doubt there will be much tron.
I think you’ll also see a lot of three color rogue.

And I don’t think Ghost Dad is seen as the best version of the black-white deck - it’s accepted by most to be either Husk, or the BW Orzhov Aggro with Discard Rats/Grotesques, etc. 

(I disagree, but alas, I digress...)

I think you’ll see some Dissension in the mix as well - don’t discount it just because people will be going with decks they’ve tested.  Because not everyone will...it’s Regionals, for cryin’ out loud...lol. 

Also, don’t forget the beatdown decks like Heezy/RW+burn, etc.

What exactly is Heezy anyway? I have seen that name flung around as an archaetype, but what is it?

I think there will be quite a bit of husk.
I think some people will play Blue-Based control because they think it’s viable with spell snare (which it might be)
I think I might play highlander (possibly a non-highlander version of my highlander deck)

wow… a non-highlander version of your highlander deck… sounds… like it’s not gonna be highlander hurmh?

My deck should easily slaughter heartbeat, no problem… but I have yet to playtest it vs Zoo more than the one time I have…

yes, I love contradicting myself and confusing people without really confusing them and without contradicting myself.

anyways, the non-highlander highlander deck would basically run a few more fixers and tutors and cut narrower tools from the box.

but… I will be running the highlander highlander version on Friday at FNM.

It’s a shame I cannot be there, I have a running agreement with my wife that the weeks I play Battletech, I don’t go to Magic the night before… and :( at the same time…

So… yeah… Heezy seems like 8+ card sideboardage for my new deck tho… hope tehre’s not too many of those, otherwise I should’ve maindecked ‘em… but then the deck is tons slower…

I’ll be there. I’m coming up to Big D for the summer, and i’ll be arriving the night before regionals. Here’s what I think we’ll see most of:

1. UGW Counter-post type decks(i’ll be playing a aggro-control version)
2. 3-Color Rogue(the “Zoo” idea, but in many different forms)
3. 2-color Blue-Based counter-control decks(UW, UB, UG, etc.)
4. The usual netdecks: BW Aggro, Heartbeat, ‘Vore, and Zoo/Gruul(maybe a little tron)
5. Mono Green Aggro(like usual :/)

I’ll be bringing UGW Ghazi-Chord, hopefully… if I can get all the cards

I havent tested my deck against counter based control, I know that I have to side out alot of responsive cards for more threatening cards ala cranial, persecute, castigate, to fish them out of counterspells, if I can get them on the draw i should be able to finish out. but no one online that ive tested against seems to be bringing out the counters, so for now boseiju isnt in the board...i may throw one maindeck though, i seem to have room.

I hear Coiling Oracle is good when he’s also a 3/3 that draws you cards.  Just sayin’.  But MAN do I ever need to get Spell Snares and work on my mana base.

I also have all of the good non-Blood Crypt cards for Rakdos Aggro, but Paladin En-vec scares me too much to try it.  Also Glare, Story Circle, and COP:Red/Black.  Maybe Orzhov/Rakdos?  I just want to play an Invitational Winner themed deck.  Bob, Terry, and Kraj (I hear that wass Antonino’s submission - it’s a remarkable likeness).

I like my UWG control build.... it has super secret tech in it!
