I was 3-4, but I feel extra bad because my only “legitimate” match win was against Delger, and that was because I drew the nuts.  Winning one game to take the match against a horribly mana-flooded opponent (round 5) and getting another match because of a mulligan to four where the only land is Vitu-Ghazi (round 6) don’t really make me feel more confident about my ability as a player.

Either way, I like this team format because you can suck but still win prizes.

You’re absolutely right - I was just protesting Fichtel’s insinuation that Mark Hendrickson lost to me because of luck alone.  There were other factors. 

And matchups are absolutely the name of the game.  We figured if we’d have had Christian and Kevin switched, they both would have had better matchups.  But then you get into the whole thought about if they’d have better matchups in round 2, then we’d have different opponents round 3, etc. etc., and your mind starts to explode. 

I in no way was trying to say that I was better than the rest of my team at all.  My apologies if it came out that way.  I’m just thrilled that I’ve found a deck that works well for me, and happy that I did so well against a pretty wide variety of decks at the PTQ.  (Round 1 - B/W Control, Round 2 - Izzet-Combo, Round 3 - Heezy Street, Round 4 - R/W Aggro, Round 5&6 Heartbeat) I apologize if I in any way sound conceited, as I know better than anyone how bad I really am at Magic...lol.  I’m just happy with my deck, that’s all. 

Blake, you’re the last person who needs to worry about sounding conceited.  That’s a pretty impressive variety of decks you faced off against.  Lucky me, getting to play All Magnivore, All The Time(r).

You’re obviously not a bad player, or else you wouldn’t go 6-0 at a friggin PTQ. I guess i’m just overly sarcastic too often…
