Hey Madness Staff -

I was just wondering how often that the FNM’s get reported to the DCI?  I’ve been to the past few constructed events religiously because of the fun and fierce competition, but I haven’t seen any of them reported to the DCI.  Now I know, I’m probably one of the minority of people who care about their rating at FNM, but I still feel like they should at least get reported.  Even the casual players aren’t getting the Magic rewards from Wizards that they deserve if the events aren’t getting reported.  This might cause them to care… Also, it helps because those of us who are trying to get up to the point where we can qualify on rating for some events, are working hard to do that, and if nothing’s getting reported, it’s all for naught. 

I only ask because I’m working on a personal goal for Magic, and I’m very close, but I need those Constructed events reported! So if you guys get a chance, it would be greatly appreciated. 

Also, if I’m not the only one who feels this way, please voice your opinions here as well…

All events from the beginning of the year through a week or two ago have been reported.  Because of the logistical changes being made behind the scenes, the DCI is draggin their feet on our results.  This is the best info I have. 

All events said to be sanctioned, will be.  To in any way elude to the possibility that we would not report the results after having said that it was sanctioned is bogus.  Besides the fact that FNM is a mandatory reporting, or else we wouldn’t be able to continue hosting it.

Also, what about Drafts? I’ve been drafting since September and I have yet to see a draft show up in my results.

Ok, thanks for the reply. 

I was in no way inferring that you are claiming sanctioned events, and then not reporting them.  Please don’t take things I say (or things I didn’t even say) as a dig against your store or against you personally, as that is NEVER the way they are intended.

we have had oodles of difficulties getting sanctioning done for the past six months or so.  I’m working on getting it fixed.

Going forward, I am nearly 100% sure that everything will be updated weekly with no problems.  At least that’s what DCi are telling me.

Jim’s been on top of it for us.  But the reality is, he has his own business to run, and sometimes, things slip.  On his end, and on mine.  This is totally not Jim’s doing, just a combination of a lot of factors that has made it very cumbersome and complicated to get fixed.

From now on, Rob and myself will be handling the sanctioning.  No one else, so hopefully that will correct most of it.

I was going to ask about that, too.  I have at least a couple FNM wins that haven’t been reported yet, and my Limited rating would really like the boost.  There’s nothing on my record since February, but I’ve played in about a half-dozen events since then.

I would also like confirmation about getting drafts sanctioned, too.  That might actually get me to draft over the summer.
