Is Madness going to be running RAV Block FNM’s anytime soon? When would they be if you do?

I seriously doubt it’ll be anytime before August, because the cycle has to have SOME sort of playtime for both blocks to be played in full…

for the past two years, we’ve run July as block FNM.  We alwasy get complaints about it, so I’m not sure what we’re going to do.  Also, Coldsnap realeases this July, so that changes a little bit.

I will probably do a rotaing wk1-selaed/wk2-block/wk3-type2/wk4-block kind of thing, but I haven’t decided yet.

Well, THAT was Kami Block… I’m pretty sure RAV block will have a totally different appeal when it comes to block season…

Well, the key is to IGNORE those people…

But seriously, I actually think your idea of a rotation would be best… Something like 1 Week for Standard, 1 for Block, 1 for Limited(sealed or whatever), and 1-2 weeks of whatever else(Extended - well, I can dream...), etc.

I think with the current audience at FNM, and Ambler’s ability to come down once every millenium or so, Extended would probably not find it’s place at this point in time.  lol...but I’ve been wrong before. 

I find it funny that the person asking the initial question I haven’t seen at an FNM for the past couple of weeks.  Then again, maybe it’s just because he knew I was going to be there, so he didn’t bother…

I might be wrong in this, but I’m pretty sure FNM has to stay type 2 or relative.  Meaning Type 2, block or current limited.  I don’t think I can run FNM as extended, but I’ll check.

Technically, FNM is supposed to be draft, Sealed, or Standard.  It’s really not supposed to be block, but most of us have wanted to play block for the last few years, to there you go.  Personally, as long as I know what’s going on ahead of time, I don’t really care this year.  I actually liked Kami block last year because I didn’t have to play against Tooth and Nail, but Standard is a lot healthier right now.

block is considered a type 2 format, it is legal for FNM

I love block.  Extended would definitely not go over very well.  I think the competition at Madness has become too fierce for the Brasseaux lately!

...even if it was OK to play FNM as Extended, there would only be 2 people that would have decks to play it(me and Brasseaux )...

BTW Blake, starting in Mid-May, I will be in town for about 3-4 months.
