Hmm, didnt know voidslime could be used like that. So many questions......
Probably a lot of them can be answered just by a little thought, and this helpful definition from the comp rules.
404.1. A triggered ability begins with the word ?when,? ?whenever,? or ?at.? The phrase containing one of these words is the trigger condition, which defines the trigger event.
And of course, activated abilities are the ones that use the “:”
In the case of someone sacrificing a Yosei to a Greater Good - the Voidslime player would have two choices. He could counter the activated ability (sac a creature:draw cards for power/discard 3) of Greater Good, which would prevent his opponent from drawing cards, or he could counter the triggered ability of Yosei (whenever Yosei is put into a graveyard from play, etc.) so that he doesn’t have to tap down all his permanents or lose his next untap step. Hope that helps a little! Lots of fun things can be “slimed”!
(If I play this for Regionals, I will try and create some sort of Slimer token, and wear my Ghostbusters shirt!!)
