Happy Easter!

Just got back from spending the day with my in-laws, so as of now, it’s a Happy Easter for me!

Hope you all had a good, safe holiday! And for those of different faiths- hope you had a great day!  <--- that’s for you Rom, seeing as how you like the dancing banana so very much!  :cheese:

Alright! The love was dripping from this thread. Yeah, that blows, Matt- sorry for that. I have never supported going out to eat, shopping or even getting gas on holidays like Easter, etc.  Then again, I wished I had been working yesterday, since I’d rather be doing manual labor than spending 8 hours with my in-laws...but I digress....

I’m in Vail catching the last of ski season.  I’ve never been before so if I’m not on crutches by the end of the week, it will be a Happy Easter week!

Hey y’all, I hope everybody had a great Easter, the weather was awesome in Texas.

I got up early to hide eggs for my 2 oldest girls. I went all out this year, b/c they’re getting at the age where belief starts to fade. They still believe in the big guy with the red suit, but a giant Bunny just doesn’t seem so real anymore. Actually we were at Wal-Mart, and they had a lady dressed in the rabbit suit, and I said look there’s the Easter Bunny. My girls just turned to me and said, “Come on dad, that’s just a person in a suit”. It was at that moment I realized my girls are growing up. So, I hid like 100 eggs yesterday, then went back to bed. When my girls got up, they ran in the room all excited, saying that the Easter Bunny had come and must have left all his eggs at our house. I was so happy that I got to hold onto the magic for one more year with them  After that we went to Grandma’s house for Easter dinner. Next year my youngest Olivia will be a 1 1/2, so the magic can start all over again. Man I love being a dad  (I’m a banana dancing fool for my girls, always)

Joel, I know things can get rough at the in-laws. But, at least you got to spend some time w/ Nickie later on, so it’s all good, bro.

Matt, sorry to hear you had to work. I use to be a waiter my self back in the days. So, I remember the lack of holiday time.

sixstring, post some pics of the trip, Vail is so nice this time of year. I bet you had one heck of a time.

He who has the most Toys when we die wins.

Sixstring- that sounds awesome. Never skiied before- only snowboarded, which I’m sure is radically different. Enjoy yourself and don’t break any bones!

Rom, you know, I complain a bit too much about the inlaws...wait, no I don’t!

Sounds like you had a perfect day, man. I’m glad you have at least this year before the magic disappears for your oldest girls.
