Except my daughter’s Barbie horse, which of course would have been to big. Maybe next time though.

LMAO.........

Hey Ricky, I thought you’d get a kick out of that

He who has the most Toys when we die wins.

Hey y’all, it’s been a while since my last update. Well the reason for my absence is that my wife has a full time job again. Which has left me to take care of our home and 3 daughters, one being a 7 month old. So until I can adjust to my new schedule, things are going to be a little hectic for a bit, so please bear with me.

Now on to the show…

My next piece is a commission for my buddy Dave, and is Red Eye, the fourth member of the Luntacs, see index for the others. I started with one of those new ToyBiz wrestler figures and a Hobbie head. Then I began sculpting his chest armor, and head.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Next, I had to cut away his shorts and turn ‘em into skin. I then completed the detail on his chest armor and face, and added the moons to his gloves.

Red Eye has large monster feet, so I cut slits into his boots to set up the scale. I then sculpted the bottom of his legs. I then sculpted the leg armor.

Now, it was time to sculpt the feet and sculpt over the finger tips to turn ‘em into gloves.

Now it was time for the base coats and staining, of the flesh.

Hey y’all, this was a X-mas commission, for my buddy Ricky aka. Black Bolt.I completely forgot to tell him when I posted Cap on fwoosh, so I wanted to make it up to him by showcasing him on Komikazee doe the first time. Once again bro, I’m sorry for my lack of communication last, and it won’t happen again, bother.

Ultimate Cap, from Ultimates series 2. I spent more time on him then I first expected, but I think the figure speaks for it’s self. Cap is a complete repaint from head to toe. I went with a deeper shade of colors on his uniform to represent the Ultimates darker theme. But I think the helmet and chin strap, which are sculpted from Apoxie Sculpt, is the icing of the cake, it turned out perfect, IMO. But let me know what y’all think about him, b/c I really value your opinions.

I like version 3 of your psylocke. It has better proportions and looks much more professional.

One thing that I have noticed is that some of your figures look a little “rough” close up (not saying that in bad way, just observing)... Is that because of the paints that you use? Have you tried airbrushing instead of brush painting?

Customer Service is best served with a lightsaber.:lightsaber:

You get better each time brother.  I think we may be looking for a female Komikazee Hero soon and Ms. Marvel will be the perfect base.

DarthMolen, Thanks so much buddy. I don’t see the roughness on the figures your talking about, but thanks for the critique.

curvezilla, Thanks Chris I really appreciate it buddy. I’d love to do another piece for ya, just let me know when and where.

He who has the most Toys when we die wins.

I’m adjusting well to the new schedule with Amanda working, not as well as I’d like, but I’m pushing myself as much as I can. I’m working a lot in the morning and afternoon, then she goes to work. So, I switch gears to Mr. Mom roll, to clean, cook, and hang out with my girls. We usually hang out, watching a movie or playing video games, they love the fighting games. Then I put ‘em to bed around 10:00 or so, and try to squeeze in a little work
before Amanda get’s home around 1:00am. Spend a little quality time with her ;o) and then pass out around 2-3 am. Then turn around and do it again. I know it’s not perfect, but after 5 back surgeries you do what you have to get the job done. So now y’all know why I haven’t been around as much.

My next piece is, Alluro, the 5th member of the Lunatacs. Alluro was commissioned by my buddy Dave, who is a professor that’s leaving for Spain, to teach this Summer. We had just enough time to get one more Thundercat’s villain done before he left. I hope y’all enjoy viewing the process of his completion as much as I did creating him.

I started with a 90’s Goldberg figure for the base. First I had to replace his gloved hands, and I used the ears from the MS Green Goblin.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I then sculpted his pants, boots, straps, and belt, with AS.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Next, I was going to sculpt his face, but since I had the GG head laying around, I decided to go with that instead. First I had to cut the faces off both heads. This was pretty simple, by just heating the plastic they both came off smoothly. I glued on the GG face to Goldberg’s head and then sculpted around the edges. The horns are just toothpicks glued and sculpted on to the head. The nose was cut off, for a new one to replace it. Then I sculpted the eye on his belt, and his wrist where the new hands attached. After that I started to apply my base coats and stains to the pants and boots.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I finished the drybrushing on the legs and boots. Now, it was time to attach the hair and tunic. The tunic is a cut piece of rubber from a LOTR Strider cloak, and sculpted to blend in. The hair is from a LOTR Legalos, with resculpting around the edge and over the ears.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Now it was time to work on the upper body, first I sculpted his nose and Moon on his forehead. I applied my base coats and stains of purple, then Drybrushed it white.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I removed the clay from his mouth and eyes, and repainted ‘em, along with his nose, horns, and Moon. Next, I painted his shoulder straps and belt. I used clear vinyl for the leg straps, this would grant mobility for the legs w/o any restrictions.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Leg straps are painted, and then I sculpted the buckle. Now for the final step, his Mace. For the base, I think it’s from a old MOTU Evilyn. I heated the bottom of the handle and curved it, so it can also hang from his belt, and the rest is just a repaint.

I think that’s about it for all the prep work, so now to the final product.

I know a lot of people didn’t like the new Spiderman 3 Black costume, but not me, I loved it from the moment I saw it. So, I moved my schedule around to squeeze him in before someone beat me to it.

I started with a regular movie Spidey. I’m not sure which one, I think it was the one closest to the top of my box

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

First, I started with a nice charcoal base coat, followed by a black stain. Now, that was the easy part.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I started with my detail work on the eyes and head. Then I moved to the torso.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

All that was left was the detail on the arms and boots. Then, I included a Venom base and WAMO, he was done.
