The Black Coat #3

The Black Coat is by far one of the best period comics I have ever read!  If you love the rich settings and the swashbuckling action of Pirates of the Caribbean then this book is a dream come true.

Everything about his comic has gotten better with each issue and #3 does not dissapoint. The black and white artwork is first class and really sets the mood for for our dashing hero’s Colonial New York. Francesco Francavilla is a superb artist who has a very bright future in comics.

The writing has also drastically improved. The dialog flows and really allows you to become immersed in the finely penciled panels. Ben Lichius and Adam Cogan are weaving a story that will leave you satisfied and wanting more.

If you love great comics, great art and a great story then ask you comic shop to carry The Black Coat. If you can’t get it at your local comic shop then find some other way, because this book is one you have to read!
