Fox announces the spin-off would hit theaters next year.
Superherohype! has posted an article saying that 20th Century Fox has announced that the Wolverine spin-off would hit theaters in 2007.
The promise of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine headlining a spinoff of 20th Century Fox’s “X-Men” franchise next year was a highlight of Day 2 here at Cine Expo.
20th Century Fox promised the gathered exhibitors a Jackman starrer titled “Wolverine” for next year and Jackman himself sent the show a taped promise to back up the news.
So I guess we can add Wolverine to the list of comic-inspired movies like Spider-Man 3, Fantastic Four 2, and Ghost Rider all hitting in 2007.
UPDATE: The trade has now updated its article and has removed any mention of a 2007 release.
