Thank you UFC Junkie for pointing out that UFC 66 sold ONLY 1 million PPV slots instead of the forecasted number of 1.2 million.
The UFC had been touting for a long time before the event that UFC 66 would break the 1.2 million mark for PPV slots. Imagine their disappointment when ONLY 1 million were sold. The gate sales were the largest for an MMA event in North America at 14,607 for a total of $5.4 million. If you do the math on PPV sales, thats about 40 million in TV sales. That's a lot of Jack any way you cut it.
