Are you ready for the screen shots of the upcoming Stargate video game?
The developers release them and Hollywood North Report has the details.
The first screenshots from the much anticipated video game Stargate Worlds have been released by Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment, Inc., the company developing the game.
"While we expect to continue to make strides visually throughout the project, the images from this area give a good representation of how Stargate Worlds will look, both in style and detail,” Nick Heitzman, the Lead Artist at Cheyenne Mountain, said on GateWorld. “Now imagine this visual quality across a wide variety of cultures, worlds, huge starships, and more."

StargateworldsStargate Worlds is based on the popular Sci-Fi Channel Stargate franchise and will be a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game or MMORPG. Although still in the early stages of production, the game recently won the Most Anticipated MMO Award at the Electronics Entertainment Expo.
"The universe according to Stargate offers a host of MMO-friendly motifs and mechanics, the intricate storyline and faction system, quick-travel mechanic, and squad-based combat to name three,” said Ten Ton Hammer who presented the award and writes for the gaming website Ten Ton Hammer. “It’s no wonder gamers worldwide are jazzed about SGW, even though the game’s still a good two years away."
The release of the screenshots follows shortly after the broadcast of the first in a series of radio shows on SG1 Radio that will allow fans of Stargate Worlds to keep updated on the development of the game and give their views.
"The most important part of an MMORPG is the community that builds up around it,” said Aizen Myoo of Radio Beta Productions, which hosts SG1 Radio. “This new radio station is for the Stargate Worlds community, giving them a new venue to express themselves with online discussion shows."
